Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Sharifi
Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
Dr. Sharifi was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He received his undergraduate degree from Portland State University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
He then completed his Oral Surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia as the Assistant Program Director at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center Oral Surgery Residency program. He was honored with numerous awards while serving the military and has extensive experiences of lecturing to his dental colleagues..
In addition to practicing in Portland, he is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at the OHSU School of Dentistry in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Sharifi serves as the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon on the Oregon Board of Dentistry as well as the Chair to the Oregon Board of Dentistry’s Anesthesia Committee.
He currently holds hospital and operating room credentials at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and the Center for Surgical Specialty.
Beyond surgery, teaching, and serving the community, Dr. Sharifi values quality time with his family and friends. He enjoys spending time at the gym, skiing, golfing, and attending sporting events.
