Meet Dr. Petrisor

Originally from Sibiu, Romania, Dr. Petrisor moved to the US at age six, and eventually settled in Beaverton, Oregon, where he graduated high school.  He continued his education at Portland State University and subsequently Oregon Health and Sciences University, where he received his dental degree.  Dr. Petrisor moved down south and obtained his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.   He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery, including a year of general surgery, at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Following residency, Dr. Petrisor furthered his training by completing a fellowship in head and neck surgery and microvascular reconstructive surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.  He headed to the east coast for an additional fellowship in microvascular reconstructive surgery at the University of Florida-Jacksonville.  Dr. Petrisor is excited to have returned to the Pacific-Northwest and to have joined our team at Sunset Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Petrisor has a special interest in treating patients with benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck. He also has training in reconstruction of complex deformities of the bony and soft tissues of the face.  He is board eligible with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Oregon Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Outside of work, Dr. Petrisor enjoys spending time with his wife and son, as well as skiing, photography, and traveling on medical mission trips.
